Chapter 2 - Goal Setting
What are goal-setting?
A goal is a target that is planned to be achieved within a certain period of time. Goal setting is an effective psychological strategy for improving performance and persistent effort.
Basic principles of goal setting
JOHN LOCKE
His idea to entrepreneurs and employees
1.Awareness and evaluation of what is happening.
2.The harder the goal, the more effective the result
3.Commitment and willingness to spend on their own efforts.
THE THREE-STEP APPROACH TO SETTING GOALS
1. List a thing that you want to achieve.
It will always be a reminder for you.
2. write down all the obstacles that cause the things you want to achieve not to be achieved
this aims to make us better prepared to face obstacles.
3. List the things that keep you motivated
This will always keep you motivated always.
The reason a student difficult to action.
1. They do not believe that if change themself can make them successful.
2. They do not know how to change themself using a strategy.
3. They do not get success immediately so that will not give motivation to themself because they do not see the results.
4. They do not give time to themself to see the impact because change themselves.
Search Themself
What they like to do, most probably have their skills.
2.They must know what thing makes them interest.
3. They must search for the thing that has makes they be motivated.
Set A Goal to become successful.
2. They list what be first needed.
3. Prepare an early plan so that will not exist
the case did not have enough time.
4. Take knowledge about how to calculate the CGPA.
5. Try to revise your goal.
